This is intended to complement yesterday’s scene which showed the last hours of 2010. This was the view, from our village, at 9.00am today as we looked over the south side of Edinburgh. This is roughly east, south-east and the sun tends to rise under any cloud giving vivid colours for a short time around dawn. I think I got today’s hues accurately but, of course, my judgement might have been impaired as I was viewing this through celebratory eyes. Perhaps the view might change as I begin to waken up. Perhaps it’s time for a wee sleep. Happy 2011.
