This is from a trip to Big Slough Wildlife Refuge near Freeport, TX. I thought I’d paint it before it’s no longer there. It’s been hanging on since I was a little kid. Alligators seem to pop up there once in a while but not then. The only thing stirring around were some fish.
Finally got this one to load, I have no clue why it hadn’t before. Plein air sketch from the bike trip previous. This is right before the dog house, they love people riding on bikes. They haven’t caught me yet but about a mile down the road watch out, lol.

Heres a plein air sketch in watercolor I did yesterday. After using oil for some time it was nice to get back to getting wet again, lol. Some distant farmers collecting hay on a sunny evening.
A guy sitting at a table having something to eat and some coffee at a local restaurant. Watercolor and pen.
Another from a bike trip. The yellow is some type of weed that grows on top of the field. It looks like spaghetti. In this corner of the field it was in abundance.

Harvest Time, July 2010, Theme Challenge
From a bike trip this Saturday. Nice weather we are having, but still hot. This is from a rice field about 15 miles south of the house.
