The other day while eating lunch, my friend Ryan said, “I love that you are always running schemes against yourself.” He said that because I’ll often do questionable things, such as drink cranberry juice because I don’t like it that much (my reasoning, being that it will last me longer—because if I really enjoyed it I would drink it too quickly and need more). There’s a whole bunch of silly things like this that I do. This rational carries itself over into my art as well. Often times I won’t have an idea for a painting but I want to start so I will draw something small. I’ll then add something else based on the negative space left from the first element and so on. I basically trick myself into creativity.

My friend Eliot says that this guy I sketched looks like “Bollywood Bill Cosby” promoting a remake of Ghost Dad. I thought it looked a little like Glick.
