(triggered by several contributors asking the same question)

See those little pictures/avatars next to other contributors’ posts? Confused on how to add yours?

These are called Gravatars (or. Globally Recognized Avatars) and are served by http://www.gravatar.com

The way gravatar works is very simple – the email address you’ve used while registering on ‘skine.art is matched to an email address associated with your gravatar. If the match is found – that gravatar is shown next to your posts and comments. Otherwise, a default avatar is displayed. This way you can have multiple gravatars associated with different email addresses (or same gravatar associated with multiple emails).

So, if you’re seeing a default avatar next to your posts – the email address on file with ‘skine.art is not known to Gravatar. You will need to login to your Gravatar account and add your email address to be associated with a gravatar of your choice. Don’t have an account with Gravatar.com? Register, upload your picture(s), link them with your email address(es). When done, all of your posts (new as well as existing ones) will have your Gravatar.
