I was looking on colors for one client (didn't go through because of money), bunch of pleasant colors and coordination, now popular earthy, coffee-cream palette. You can make it lighter as you want, add white trims: moldings, door frames. Do you know how to do water-base glazing? Cloud like? You can put on one piece of paper little squares of colors of the room : wall, floor, trim, furniture, draperies, and see how you like the harmony, what is your focal point. I wish I can come and help.
Uncle Bob on "Not working." https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=231#post-1283 Sun, 24 Oct 2010 07:32:09 +0000 Uncle Bob 1283@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
Bob is fine but he has been indulging in Margaret's favourite passion all week - decorating. Will get back to annoying you all soon. Promise.
Nikira on "Not working." https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=231#post-1282 Sun, 24 Oct 2010 04:31:13 +0000 Nikira 1282@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
Working fine! Didn't go as smooth as I hoped it would, but I think everything is working properly now.
Please check it out, guys.
Thank you for your help and patience.
Uncle Bob on "Not working." https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=231#post-1280 Mon, 18 Oct 2010 18:26:07 +0000 Uncle Bob 1280@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
I submitted a few (maybe five) comments yesterday. These are not shown next to the various posts. Incredibly, one person has already sent me a "thank you" (by email) for my comment - but her picture shows no comments. Also I STILL don't receive comments from others about stuff I post and I am worried that I miss the chance to thank people for taking the trouble to write something. As they say in Scotland, "Gonna no' dae that".
Nikira on "Not working." https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=231#post-1278 Sat, 16 Oct 2010 01:24:32 +0000 Nikira 1278@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
Again !!!! I am logged in Forums, but can't log in on the Main page. I don't know what else to do.....
P.S. I posted in Flock, hope I didn't do it twice, hope it went through, but it keeps throwing me off.. or worse. :~{
Nikira on "Not working." https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=231#post-1277 Fri, 15 Oct 2010 19:52:05 +0000 Nikira 1277@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
Уррааа!!!! Seems to be working. I logged into Forums separately and looks like I logged in Main and Forums at the same time. It cause me only couple of gray hairs.
Leo on "Not working." https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=231#post-1276 Fri, 15 Oct 2010 16:37:28 +0000 Leo 1276@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
Hi, Ira.
I did some upgrades yesterday. Everything works, there are new submissions rolling in.
Could you please try dumping cache and deleting cookies? I think this might have something to do with your problem.
Let me know how that worked out.
Nikira on "Not working." https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=231#post-1275 Fri, 15 Oct 2010 13:21:03 +0000 Nikira 1275@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
Something weird still going on. I am Logged in forums, but unable to Log in on the main page, passwords not working, no matter how much I tried to reset it, so don't know what is real anymore. :-)
Ziza on "We went back in time" https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=84#post-839 Mon, 21 Dec 2009 09:46:36 +0000 Ziza 839@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
1. I still think the background should be more neutral (black, grey or something along these lines) since "petroleum" blue goes better with some posts than others depending very much on the colours in the post itself. (perhaps the Moly colour would do or just keep it white(?)
2. The rugged edges around the FAV hearts should be smoothed.
3. Home, interviews, contributors, etc., should also have icons like the top row.
4. Top 20 favourite posts should also be extended to say 40.
5. When you click on a archives for particular month - top Favs for that month should be shown.
6. When you click on a particular contributor, her/his top faved posts should be on somehow.
In this way people would have more chance to see and fave other contributors' (older) posts - in this (present) way they only open top 20 on a daily basis and Fave them, while for any other, that's close to the top, the chances are meagre since they'd have to dig a lot to find them (which is seldom done)
7. When you open a contributor, the accompanied text should show the basics of the profile for everyone (now it is there only for some), and this could include info on when they joined, how many posts they submitted and other useful info.
Nikira on "We went back in time" https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=84#post-838 Mon, 21 Dec 2009 05:29:46 +0000 Nikira 838@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
I like it but I would make the background color a bit lighter, may be 2 shades lighter, text sharper, comments too hard to notice and little squares I would do rounder if its possible. Friendlier. More like drops of water shapes. Paints looks wonderful. Of course, I am not Ziza and my opinion z not matter, but I still have it.
Leo on "We went back in time" https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=84#post-837 Mon, 21 Dec 2009 01:31:31 +0000 Leo 837@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
@mono - that's the point - to highlight the drawings. I'll roll out the new design very soon, just need to work out a couple of kinks and apply some finishing touches. Stay tuned.

@Ziza - Nijaz, I'll tweak the font colors for a better contrast - to make it easier to read.

Meanwhile, the preview of work-in-progress is here, I appreciate any feedback you might have:

https://www.skineart.com/?preview_theme=skineart
mono on "We went back in time" https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=84#post-834 Sun, 20 Dec 2009 19:54:35 +0000 mono 834@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
i quite liked it.
so it will stay like this?

i liked that the background had a different color, it put emphasis on the drawings.
Leo on "We went back in time" https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=84#post-833 Sun, 20 Dec 2009 16:40:11 +0000 Leo 833@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
My bad. Again. Another software upgrade went awry.
Re-published what's there. If you had your previously punlished posts disappear - please repost.
Ziza on "We went back in time" https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=84#post-832 Sun, 20 Dec 2009 15:35:35 +0000 Ziza 832@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
It happened again!
I'm sort of happy because I liked the old look better than the new (difficult to read and the background was biased in the "new" - some posts looked better than the others). There were some good changes though.
Leo I hope you'll re-post those lost in time!?
Leo on "We went back in time" https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=84#post-630 Mon, 12 Oct 2009 13:59:06 +0000 Leo 630@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
My fault. I will never mess with the Time-Space-Skine continuum again.
Ziza on "We went back in time" https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=84#post-629 Mon, 12 Oct 2009 09:42:10 +0000 Ziza 629@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
Well, we normally always go forward in time (that's not a big deal). Going back is real acievement. Forth and than back is also good (at least for the lottery). The real problem is when we enter the time loop! I hope we don't.
I'm sorry for my "Boulgakov" mountain-landscape - it was doing extremely well (with over 20 faves in a day) in the last incarnation, and now it's not nearly as good. Then also I've briefly seen some interesting comments on it and the next one (still to come), but hadn't time to reply. Now, I don't remember what they were. If you all repeat your comments, I'd be more than happy to reply...
See you all again on October 8th...
Uncle Bob on "We went back in time" https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=84#post-628 Sun, 11 Oct 2009 21:12:01 +0000 Uncle Bob 628@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
Definitely weird. I'm looking forward to the next logical step - going forward in time. Any chance of next week's lottery numbers, Leo? I promise to share the winnings with everyone.
Nikira on "We went back in time" https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=84#post-626 Sun, 11 Oct 2009 20:07:52 +0000 Nikira 626@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
it feels weird
Leo on "no comments for iphigen" https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=81#post-596 Wed, 09 Sep 2009 13:30:22 +0000 Leo 596@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
Nikira, thanks for the heads-up.

Fixed now. The issue was that the post had no title. The title is derived from the description when one uploads a new post, so if you leave the text field empty, the links won't work.

Added a post ID to those permalinks, so in absence of a title, the post ID will be enough.
Nikira on "no comments for iphigen" https://www.skineart.com/forums/topic.php?id=81#post-595 Wed, 09 Sep 2009 12:24:19 +0000 Nikira 595@https://www.skineart.com/forums/
comments no working in iphigen post
