Frequently Asked Questions
1. Erm, what’s a moleskine?
Moleskine (pronounced mol-a-skeen’-a) is a brand of notebook manufactured by Moleskine srl, an Italian company.
For two centuries now Moleskine has been the legendary notebook of artists, writers, intellectuals and travelers. From gifted artists Henri Matisse (1869–1954) and Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890), to poet and leader of the surrealist movement André Breton (1896-1966) to Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961).
2. Can anyone submit their artwork?
Yes, we encourage anyone and everyone to register on our site and submit their artwork. There is no “good” or “bad” art, just Art. We do however reserve the right to not publish certain submissions.
3. What is the criteria for getting published?
We do not have a criteria for publishing posts. However, out of respect for the quality of work by other artists, you should at least submit art that you’ve put some effort into.
4. How do I submit my artwork?
Once you’re registered on our site, you can login and access the submission form by clicking on ‘Submit your art’ in the top right corner of the front page.

You may then upload an image, preview it and add a description before submitting your post. All submissions are reviewed before being published.
5. I submitted a post hours ago and it still hasn’t been published. What gives?
It may take up to 48 hours for your post to be published. Also, if you have submitted several posts consecutively, they will only appear once posts from other users have been published.
6. How do I get an avatar?
Avatars are linked from http://www.gravatar.com. A gravatar, or globally recognized avatar, is quite simply an avatar image that follows you from weblog to weblog appearing beside your name when you comment on gravatar enabled sites. Registration is free. Once you’ve signed up you can upload your avatar image and soon after you’ll start seeing it on gravatar enabled weblogs!
