Several blocks of Ginza are closed off to cars on Sundays beginning at noon, and people can freely walk, shop at big department stores, or sit at tables under umbrellas in the street and just people-watch. There is quite an amusing display of fashion, including dog fashion going on, as well as a great sketching opportunity.

2010Jun 14tags: shinjuku imperial garden | tokyo japan | www.lindabachrach.blogspot.comVisited this garden again after several years. This time, instead of tons of flowers and lotus ponds, it was filled with kindergarteners in the most unusual uniforms. They all looked like little artists in their hats and smocks. So cute. The entire park was very lush and green, but I think we had just missed the azeala season and were too early for the lotus.
