“Rudolph In My Room” A Christmas card drawing on Oslo Paper.
I decided to create personalized Christmas cards for my loved ones for this year.
Hopefully I can upload all the ones I’ve done.
I used Faber Castell Watercolor Pencils and A Winnie-The-Pooh mechanical pencil.
I wonder if Christmas lights count as glass? I know that there are also some made from plastic so yeah, lol.

This, coincidentally, looks like “Boofredlay”s recent posting http://www.skineart.com/art/author/boofredlay/
but, honest, I didn’t plagiarise your stuff, my friend.
This idea started as something for this months challenge. A friend of mine makes stained glass objects as a hobby and she gave me some ideas about how to design these things. I, therefore. decided to design a “window”, with a Christmas theme to enter the challenge as well as to wish everyone a Happy Christmas. The Bells and Holly are traditional while the background is supposed to represent sails in the carol – “I saw three Ships.” Not too bad for a first attempt but – who would want a Christmas Window like this unless, of course, you stay in a church? Ah the best laid plans of mice and men gang aft algley. Not to worry. Seasons Greetings everyone – including Boofredlay. -
2010Dec 3tags: December 2010 | glass | Theme ChallengePersimmon Margarita. It was not as delicious as it was really pretty. In this tall flute wine glasses. We listen to our long loved Cherry Poppin’ Daddies and Squirrel Nut Zippers. Never got tired of them. I used ink and Inktense pencils for bits of color in Moleskine.

2010Nov 28tags: In the Attic | ink | Ira | November 2010 | Theme ChallengeI was really touched by the story someone sent via email about englishman Nicholas Winton, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas_Winton who instead of planned ski vacation in Switzerland went to Czechoslovakia and saved 669 lives of children during Nazis occupation. Winton kept his humanitarian exploits under wraps for many years until his wife Greta found a detailed scrapbook in the ATTIC in 1988. I used ink and blue for eyes in WC Moleskine A4. I am glad I did it on Thanksgiving.

Just an attempt to get a quick entry in for this month’s Challenge in the hope that others might have a go.
My parents told me I must NEVER open the attic’s trapdoor. If I did, I might see things I wasn’t meant to. One day, when they were out, I opened the door. They were right. I saw down into the upstairs area of the house. I could see carpets, furniture, bedrooms and the stairs leading to the lower floors of the house……………….!

In Scotland, when we say someone is lost, we mean that their thoughts are in another place. This is our second eldest, Ewan, about to set off for his first day at school. The photograph, this is copied from, is dated 22nd August 1984. Ewan seems to be thinking about Winston Churchill’s quote that:
“It was at “The Little Lodge” I was first menaced with Education. The approach of a sinister figure described as “the Governess” was announced. Her arrival was fixed for a certain day. In order to prepare for this day Mrs. Everest produced a book called Reading Without Tears. It certainly did not justify its title in my case. I was made aware that before the Governess arrived I must be able to read without tears”. – From “My Early Life” – Churchill.
Ewan looks, in the photograph as if he is “menaced with education”. He is fighting to get control of his emotions. I wonder if he holds this against me and is plotting to put me into a home for old people?
