Visualizing a Headache
My submission for the October theme challenge (done just as I was leaving for a conference in Rhode Island, which meant I didn’t get to share it until I got back home); better late than never, right?

Russian Coin and Pocket Knife
(What’s In Your Pocket?)
A sketch page for the September 2012 Theme Challenge.
Yellow String and Hydrangea Blossoms
(What’s In Your Pocket)
A collage of things from my pocket for the September 2012 Theme Challenge.
The Contents of a Trash Can (Same motif in different technique)
Another exploration of the August 2012 theme challenge, this time revisiting the November 2011 theme challenge. There’s a Scottish heather ale that I am very fond of that features interesting labels that have a tendency to flake off in large and small chunk when they get wet (which is easy to happen on some of the very humid summer nights here). I find the resulting bits of pattern and metallic layers interesting and decided to put them together on a randomly-assembled page.
Summer Impressions (Same motif in different technique)
Another entry for the August 2012 theme challenge, this time revisiting the April 2012 theme challenge.
The BUMP in the Night (Same motif in different technique)
A submission for the August 2012 theme challenge, revisiting the July 2012 theme.
The BUMP in the Night
(Things That Go Bump in the Night)
Another submission for the July 2012 Theme Challenge. I suppose it satisfies the August Theme Challenge, too, but I didn’t know that would be the challenge at the time I did this.
Into Disrepair, Trout Fishing – Linlithgow Loch – Watercolour
A last minute entry for this month’s “Challenge”
Give a man a fish and you’ll feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and he’ll sit on his backside, in a boat, drinking beer.
An old lawnmower sits, surrounded by the weeds it once conquered, and now being overtaken by them. For the May Theme Challenge, ‘Into Disrepair’.
