Day 17 of my sketch-a-day Month of May, and still on track, though they haven’t all been uploaded here – I’m afraid I’ve overloaded ‘skineart! This is a sketch of a little dragon model I bought a few years ago, looks like she came to life while sketching and is just figuring out the use of her feet and wings… and maw! 
Sketch-a-day for Thursday: apple pie (sketch first, eat later). Also called Peeta and the Warped Perspective. O well. It’s an EXERCISE.

As this is my first contribution here comes the obligatory confession that I’ve been lurking the site for a month or so, enjoying everyone’s art. Now I got my first Moleskine and am ready to make my own humble additions. I mostly paint in oils but I’ve been too busy lately so I’ve turned to watercolor and sketching and am loving it. My goal is to draw/paint something every day this year, and so far I have. Here’s a little ink and watercolor to start with. The lettering is marker on eraser-stamps I carved myself

Saw this animal skull lying around the apartment, so I decided to practice my inking/brush skills. Might add something to the background… Suggestions?
Wine Glass
Just practicing drawing from real life…in this case looking at a wine glass after dinner.
This is my come-back drawing. I can’t remember the last time I drew anything. I think I was having ‘artist’s block’ or something. It took me forever to get the courage up to post a pic, but here it is – 2 hours of drawing and shading. I think it’s not too bad.
