Impressions of the Night
I started experimenting with cyanotype photo paper. The first attempt didn’t develop at all, but it gave me a chance to sketch a celestial impression around the random constellation of color.

Night and Day
A page in micron ink inspired by the interplay of waking hours and the balance between light and dark.
Front Cover
A collage of antique maps; including polar charts, fanciful sea monsters, stylized ships, constellations, merfolk, a compass rose, and letters for the title. With this complete, my little sketchbook is ready to be on its way back to Brooklyn and the Sketchbook Project Tour next year.
Uncharted Ocean
A page in my Uncharted Waters Sketchbook (never enough time to work on this one, lately, it seems).
Night and Day
A little page that sprang up in my pocket molie while I was commiserating with friends a few nights ago.
The Universe Awaits
An imaginative look at uncharted stars and planets in the ‘Uncharted Waters’ sketchbook. Done in acrylic paint.
Alien Shore
The next page in my ‘Uncharted Waters’ sketchbook. This is a collage of a sketched fanciful skyline and a nebula with stars.
Uncharted Stars
I’m taking part in the Sketchbook Project World Tour 2012 and this is my first work in my sketchbook (inside the back cover, as working back-to-front is a habit I picked up a while ago). My theme this year is ‘Uncharted Waters.’ This is done with dark blue acrylic paint and silver sharpie marker.
