  Serpent in the Sun

  I was playing around the other night when another skull ended up in the middle of the page and the rest of the drawing just grew around it.

  Demon Skull

  Continuing the theme of stylized skulls from a few days ago and then filling the background with free-hand vines and curls because I haven’t done them in a long time and I wanted some practice. I’m not quite sure what to make of the final result, but it was nice taking a few hours to get lost in a picture without worrying too much about where it was going or what the final result would be. Done with a black pilot G-2 pen and a papermate mechanical pencil.

  Eternal Sun

  I was spending a lazy evening with the family after Thanksgiving dinner and was inspired by the stylized skulls on my sister’s pajama pants. This was the result of just letting lines happen as they would. Done entirely with a black pilot G-2 pen.

  I got the skull I wanted for Christmas. And not a cheap plastic one, either. This one is life sized and made of clay. Great detail. Well made.
  You gotta love that zygomatic arch.
