My partner is getting back into exploring his artistic side and asked me to write something poetic for him to sketch from spontaneously; this is the first attempt at the idea.

I got bunch of Stillman&Birn sketchbooks as a present from them and experimenting in different series. Here first page in “Delta”. I used Bijou box of watercolors and Uranus pen (double sided with brush and pen), paper is pretty thick, 180 lb. Stove. I sketch in at list 9 sketchbooks at the same time.
In this part of Brooklyn, in Orthodox Jewish community, despite presence of modern cars, you feel like in a different century. Time doesn’t matter, only life and respect for life are present. Even sky was different. I passed by and was charmed for a while, appreciating our similarities and differences.
I used ink on Bockingford 90 lb paper. I even forgot to add bits of color.
I had very few minutes alone in the car, parked behind this van. Of course I spend it on sketching with my favorite Blackwing 602 in Stillman&Birn Gamma sketchbook. Then we hit some traffic, but it was fun to chat with my daughter, I didn’t mind traffic (I was not driving and we always have interesting topics). On the top I drew my pencil, Blackwing 602. I really like this texture. I used Kuretake brush pens for it.

Not the newest thought I know. I was thinking about BigGayDragon visiting an art gallery as a youngster and this popped out.
Sketching in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn with Pentel and little Muji pen in Stillman&Birn Gamma sketchbook (I got a bunch of sketchbooks from them as a present, so forgive me for cheating on Moleskine).
