Loose watercolor sketch @ the lake with Piglet. Perfect weekend.
latest updates: sketch
Smokers pencil on the top of sketch. This is pretty old pencil, from 1920-30. The pocket clip is in a beautiful Art Deco design.
The top of the pencil is used as a pipe bowl packer. Inside there is a stem which is used for loosening tobacco and clearing tobacco from the bowl.
The stem makes an ideal cigar piercer.
I figure out why I couldn’t post it for a while, because file was named Smoker’s as soon as I eliminate ‘ it posted normally. Glad, I solved it.
Memories of Boo
A few sketches for a project in memory of my cat, Boo, who died in her sleep curled up in the sun about a week ago. She was sixteen and, while I’m glad she went peacefully, and I’ve known it was coming for a little while now, I still miss her.
A stem of flowers pressed in my pocket molie and an impression of them on the facing page.
Quick watercolor of rocks and grass Upstate. Used vintage Rembrandt watercolor and water brush in Stillman & Birn Delta.
Ocean Avenue in Brooklyn. I used J.Herbin ink and few drops of blue watercolor. And listened to “Sunday Driver” songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCfbWrQkf6c
