Big Springs Garden Pond, off of Highway 49. RoseMarie taught colored pencil techniques inside. I went outside to draw. Used watercolor and a liner brush. Then I painted the scene on canvas with acrylics. It was cool and wet. It had rained the previous day.
San Francisco State Univ’s field campus. Highway 49. Yuba River. Forced off the road by motorcyclists and decided to explore and draw. Classes are given here in the summer on wild life drawing, astronomy, photography and many others.
Feather River, North View, Autumn, Sierra Nevada, Union Pacific Train. Was at this setting for 2 hours. Three trains came by! The next day I returned to paint the scene in acrylics.
