Silhouette and Shadow
A fun little page of shapes and patterns inspired by my skinny, statuesque cat.
First page in the sketchbook for the Art House Co-op Sketchbook Project. My theme “This is a sketchbook”. Since it has a dark shadow, I figured it could work for this month’s theme… By the way, this time they didn’t use moleskine (sorry Leo, this is my 1st non-moleskine submission, please forgive me).
My Shadows have shadows – Ink and pencil
A wee effort for this month’s challenge. The theme is “Shadow” but here are more for your money. This is meant to depict the group – the Shadows who had many instrumental hits from the 1960′s onwards. They also were the backing group for Cliff Richard. The idea is a play on the cover of one of their albums:
This is copied from an early publicity photograph when the four group members, Jet Harris; Bruce Welch; Tony Meehan and Hank Marvin formed the group. Hank Marvin is the one with glasses. The group were always immaculately dressed in slim fitting suits and ties – changed days. I still have such a suit but, with hanging in the wardrobe all these years, it has shrunk.
Shadow of the Moon
Another submission for June’s Theme Challenge. Inspiration struck during a seminar, but I had to wait until I got home in the evening to finish it.
