3B pencil sketch of the “big rock” at Rattlesnake Lake in North Bend, WA. USA
I added a couple silhouettes on the rock to show scale. It sits out in the lake a bit and kids like to climb up and then jump off into the water. There are lots of tree stumps and other boulders strewn along the shore. It’s a man-made lake but heavily used in the summer for swimming, canoeing and fishing. Lots of fun!
Airport Chair
I had a long length of time in the Pittsburgh airport recently, waiting for a flight, so I took the opportunity to sketch one of the empty chairs nearby.
ready to go out for after exam celebrations, hence the beaming smile
Sketch I did of Batman after watching all the Batman movies back-to-back and reading the Batman graphics novel entitled “War Games Vol.1″.
Just used simple graphite pencils for the initial sketch and shading. I think I went a bit overboard with the girl’s hair though….
