latest updates: river
some river stones I sketched in my sketchbook one day when on holiday up north in the Waikato. This is near Matamata, where they built the “Hobbiton” set for Lord of the Rings. There’s a waterfall there, and a very steep hike up a mountain to the top of it. The walk runs along this little river before it climbs up the gorge.
Waterfall Kravice (=”Little Cows”) – south Bosnia and Herzegovina (one of many beautiful waterfalls in Bosnia).

Watercolour and marker in the Carrion’s River. The coldest morning…
Sketch done this morning in the Carrion’s river in Guardo (Palencia). At the botton, the Espigüete mountain covered by the snow. Watercolour and marker. About 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Another view from my window – Snow in the early evening of St Nicolas day 19-12-09 (according to Julian/Orthodox calendar).
Rene, that’s another one for your friend. What you see is about 500 years old Latin Bridge – the place where, by assassination of Franz Ferdinand, the World War I started 95.5 years ago.
