Power of Persuasion
I had a little free time on Friday (I didn’t go to the weekly seminar and I was in between a few things), so I took a few minutes for myself and worked on a sketch I’ve been meaning to do for a while now. Once it was done, it seemed to fit with this month’s theme challenge, so here it is.
Power of the Weather
A whimsical sketch that seemed to fit in with this month’s theme challenge. Even though it doesn’t rain everyday, the potential for rain has the power to get me carrying a small, collapsible umbrella everyday I go to work (I have a 10-15 minute walk to and from).
Power of Fear
I made a Krampus mask for a Winter Solstice party this past year and while I was thinking about this month’s theme challenge I decided to try my hand at drawing it (something I’ve been meaning to do for a while now, anyway).
Power of Addiction
I smoked socially for a few years and, even though I’ve kicked the habit, I still find myself jonesing for that first hit every once in a while. A few of my mates smoke like fiends and while we were out at the pub over the weekend I ended up grabbing the front of one the packages with the idea of making some art out of it and this is the result.
Power of the Post
A collage from the postage that arrived on several pieces of mail within a few days of each other (somehow both of the cats are in the veterinarian’s automated reminder system multiple times).
As I was filling in the page around the stamps it got me thinking about how reliable the U.S. postage system is and how powerful that quick, easy communication is.
