My friend. We know each other for more than quarter of a century, share great memories, had so much fun with our exquisite circle of friends in Moscow, how many wonderful books came to me from his hands, how much delicious homemade liqueur was consumed on our intellectual parties (Lena and Mark were in science field). I used another vintage advertising pencil and ink in furry album, I got long time ago in Home Goods, it said Kim Robertson inside on the back cover in silver letters on the fabric sticker. Kim Robertson is London based designer.

2010Oct 16tags: father | pencil | portraitI wanted this portrait to be at the same sketchbook. I hated him, I loved him, at 17 I ran away from him. He forgave me. He was my best friend. After his death I learned things about him I never knew.
I started with Blackwing, but it was too soft too fast. So I used my harsh antique pencil and Blackwing on the top again. -

2010Sep 28tags: ink | Ira | portrait | sketch | water brushInna in ink. This is the last page of my Moleskine large. Very sad. Really liked it Watercolor paper. It started with “Chinese bakery” on October 30, 09. Anyway I used ink (mixed myself) and played a little with Axe-cut strokes in the hair, holding brush angular, Pentel water brush is the best.
