Whistles the Wind
An abstract page with layers of swirls in micron pen.
Day Dreaming
I really like my new blue and green micron pens and this affection resulted in some playing around with swirls and spirals; the final result is seen here.
Bad Moon Rising
I was in a bad space a few days ago and so I let myself free-write all the little thoughts that were keeping me awake. Once I had that out of my system, I decided to see what I could do to turn all the negativity into something beautiful. First came the spirals, covering everything, but I wasn’t sure where to go from there. Then today I struck on the idea of adding the collage and the blue moonbeams over everything; and that’s how the page worked itself out.
Rain Storm
Just playing around with my micron pens and seeing what different sort of spaces I could fill with simple spirals and swirls.
Water Horse
I wandered into an art supply store not too far from where I grew up and ended up picking up a few micron pens in a larger diameter than what came in my box set. I was excited to try them out, so I sat in the car doodling on the back of the receipt and this is what happened. It might end up more complete when I have a little time to fill the rest of the page around the paper pasted in, but it’s kind of fun just the way it is.
Mandalas
A final page from quiet, peaceful evening; this one all in blue and also just meandering to wherever the ink wanted to go.
