Little seeker Annie takes cover beneath a massive eldershroom while bucket-size drops of rain pummel it’s foamy cap with a hollow, distant percussion. Beneath the fungi’s costate canopy she thinks of a dryer-warmed blanket and a cop of broth as bones shiver. Adventure’s remourse settles in. And she waits for a break in the weather before nightfall.

Pen & Ink
We have a visiting artist at school who does altered books. She makes these little poems out of the words in a double page spread of a book, and draws on the rest of the pages to go with the poem. We have to do a couple of pages for a partial project, and I got a page in which I made a sentence that reads “Talk like the mushroom prince for sheep have got to grow between flowers”. In my planning for the drawing, I drew the mushroom to the left, except with a crown, and thought ‘It might be funny to have it be yelling at something’. And this is what I came up with. Hope you guys like it =P -

I couldn’t sleep a few weeks ago and ended up just doodling, random shapes and lines turned into a mushroom and other fungi. Crayola colored pencils finished the picture.

I was jonesing to draw something the other night, decided I was tired of drawing skulls, so I drew a little toadstool instead. It looked lonely, so I gave it some leaves to keep it company.
