Summer Sky
Just an impression of summer drawn one evening last week.
Genesis of Dreams
I bought myself a set of micron pens and they arrived a few days ago; this is one of the pages where I just played around to see what sort of things I could do with them.
Crazy dream bird — third in a series of quick sketches of kooky animal dreams I had a while ago. Is it a turkey? A vulture? A turkulture? A vurkey? I don’t know, but it was weird.
When the Smoke Cleared There Was Thunder From The Throne, pen, marker, and guache, 2010.
Kooky bird creature from a dream. Drawn with micron pens, then scanned and digitally colored.
Final pages of Sketchbook #11 (Moleskine #2). On the right are some preliminary sketches of my ultimately ‘rejected’ idea for this year’s Street Painting Festival in San Rafael, CA. It was deemed ‘too controversial!’ O, the humanity!
See the final ‘rejected’ sketch here: http://bit.ly/aiIUMx
(Can’t post it to this site as it’s not in a Moleskine.)
Another lunch break sketch. I need to start taking longer lunch breaks so I can get more drawing done!
