  Memories of Boo

  A few sketches for a project in memory of my cat, Boo, who died in her sleep curled up in the sun about a week ago. She was sixteen and, while I’m glad she went peacefully, and I’ve known it was coming for a little while now, I still miss her.

  Remembering Aidan

  Aidan died February 26, 2011; today (February 26, 2012, day of submission) is the first anniversary. This is a collage page (built around ‘Comfort’ by artist Jessica Galbreth and the border pieces are cut from ‘Cathedrals of the Forest’ by artist Stephanie Pui-Mun Law) dedicated to his memory.

  Cold November Rain

  My husband’s brother was killed in a car accident two days before Thanksgiving. We had the traditional meal with the family and extended family and as the night closed in a heavy, cold rain fell; once the children were in bed, I had a little time to reflect and try to process the enormity of everything.
