Čvrsnica (“full of strength”) mountain and Blidinje glacier lake on a business fieldtrip on a cloudy cold day – watercolour in a large WCNB
Just breaking into my new Moleskine Watercolour sketchbook.
This is quite a hidden gem in Las Vegas area, I was surprise to see a man-made lake in the middle of the desert. You can see quite a lot of greenery, birds, ducks, and geese in the area.. Once I sat down on the grass, all the ducks and birds were walking up to me…Thinking I have something to eat which I do not have anything.. Poor guys, I should’ve brought something to feed.. I am such an animal lover and I feel really bad for them.. They were even quacking at me for food, which is cute!
I was sitting by Lake Geneva when my friend Faith went and stood in the freezing cold water so I did a quick sketch. I went back later and wrote about it.
I went today at the Colgate Lake and sketched the view, and I didn’t notice till the end of my work, that I took two spots on the handicapped parking, because for the better view I parked across it. Nobody said a word to me, people with dogs, kayak, in purple hat, fisherman. They struggled on the road sides. Piglet barked meanly from the back seat. Anyway it was not legal to park anywhere. So this why the watercolor is shameless.
Up at my friends cottage over the weekend and made this quick sketch of the view across the lake. pen.
