Fishing at Rattlesnake Lake. Sitting on a big rock waiting patiently for a fish to bite. Sketched in pencil, 2B and 4B.
3B pencil sketch of the “big rock” at Rattlesnake Lake in North Bend, WA. USA
I added a couple silhouettes on the rock to show scale. It sits out in the lake a bit and kids like to climb up and then jump off into the water. There are lots of tree stumps and other boulders strewn along the shore. It’s a man-made lake but heavily used in the summer for swimming, canoeing and fishing. Lots of fun!
Along the shore of Greenlake in Seattle, Washington a tree hangs over the water, its branches dipping down into the lake.
Roaring Fork Lake
I took my pocket molie along on the backpacking trip to the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming (part of the Rocky Mountains) and I sketched this view looking over the lake near our first campsite.
Colgate Lake. Went to the lake, drew from the car. Watercolor and pen in small Holbein sketchbook. Walk there with Pig, it was so cold that my ears froze and almost fell off.
Blidinje lake and Čvrsnica mountain. Another 20×50 cm gift watercolour based on my former Moleskine post.
