House built in 1776.
We wisited out former seaside landlady (leftmost) and my Mother-in-law (centre) and wife (right) had a long chat with her while I was painting.
The trouble was that there were almost no light when I did it. It reminds me of a Python’s sketch where a father-in-law (sleaping in the bedroom with his daughter and son-in-law) is, for 20-odd years, making a ship model in the dark, which of course additionally anoyes the couple. When they finally switch the light on – his model is actually a wrack. Therefore, do not be harsh on judging the outcome of my little darkness effort!
BTW. The roof of this houre has been risen some time during the last century
