This is store at the beginning of Brighton Beach, corner of Ocean Parkway in Brooklyn. If you are in the mood for nice seafood salad or smoked eel, or caviar, or running out of time and hate shopping this store is good for you. Also here is the cheapest sunflower oil, which I like for salad dressings. Here I used ink, few Kuretake pens and decide to outline with delicious Namiki Falcon pen with sepia ink. I like to distress edges of paper, makes it look more vintage, I think.

Brooklyn, view from the car. I used 2 inks and little help from Kuretake pens for bits of color. Ink spreads on old paper a bit uncontrollable. Interesting that every piece of paper like wall behaves differently, even it seems the same.
Evening meal and menagerie. I drew pizza, (pretty good one, I read about it first on Sheepshead Bites and then decided to try it) and put in a shadow under the table my little menagerie. They didn’t really sit there together all the time, but they were lurking here there, hoping we may drop something really delicious, which smelled so good.

Avenue of Americas in Manhattan. Looking through the park on 34 street, where big Toys R Us, magic place, where we bought so many toys for my daughter when she was little, so many stories to remember. Anyway here I used up my Sepia ink, have to mix new one. Love Kuretake H20 brush. Faded red from Twin Kuretake pen.

Diner on Road 23A, Upstate, where locals get their food, you can meet good looking policemen there getting lunch, pretty much feels like you are in a movie from 60-s. I usually drop my jaw and stare. I like their chili. Here I used Sepia ink and 3 Kuretake Twin pens on aged watercolor paper.
We decide to have little fun and cooked wonderful meal together just for the family. Swiss Raclette. We got this device with the house, the previous owner was French. We didn’t know how to use it and what it is, so it was forgotten somewhere in the kitchen. But I liked the look. Then one day someone smart told me the name and I looked it up in Google, printed instruction and history and read it for group of our friends. They looked skeptical but then enjoyed it a lot. With beer it was even better. I used Kuretake brush pens and Sepia ink in Moleskine A4. Only 2 more pages left.
Breakfast in Hunter Deli. I knew that this size of the paper wont fit my scanner, but I refused to crop it and had trouble to fit it in two steps and used photomerge again and think, lost some color intensity. I remember my father and stepmother use to call me The girl on the contrary (hope it translates normally from “Девочка наоборот”). I think they had a point, but it is my nature. I used sepia ink and few Kuretake pens on piece of old watercolor paper.
