The remains of hurricane Katia – Watercolour

This attempts to show the sky, around midday yesterday looking from my window. The day had started somewhat overcast but with bright spells. The mood changed and the colours were spectacular. She took around five days to cross the Atlantic and she arrived about this time and was strongest about four hours later. Many parts of the the UK had extremely stormy weather but probably nothing like that at the start of her journey. For example we only had gusts near 80 mph. Today (Tuesday) was a wee bit calmer but the rain continued. Summer has gone.
