Sitting on a terrace near the water and waiting for my lunch (superb grilled fish) I made this little sketch. In the back you see the Galata bridge, which spans the “Golden Horn” from the western side of Istanbul to the more eastern one.
Santral, an abandoned powestation in Istanbul. They are converting it into a museum of modern art. All machines, generators and boilers are still there (the power indicator tree of a few days ago was from the same complex). Drawn on location.
No, this is not a drawing of Mattias Adolfsson, but a real existing non-digital electrical power indicator tree; which I found in an abandoned powerplant called “santral” in Istanbul. http://www.renefijten.blogspot.com
