Dunkin Donuts coffee really helps when you burned by brainstorming about mural’s composition, color range, researches, with very few hours of sleep every night, unable to decide whether you should make a pea soup for tonight and finish sketch in Sepia or grab a takeout and watch another episode of “Desperate Housewives”. Fellini likes to check what’s in the bag hoping for fried chicken, since he can’t smell and his vision is poor, he takes long time to inquire.
I used Sepia and 2 Kuretake brush pens on old paper.
Indian sweets… we got from Indian restaurant Downtown Brooklyn to celebrate life and enjoy evening together. I used Sepia ink and Kuretake brush pens.
This 13-yearold boy really impressed me with his magic voice and deep emotion, you won’t expect. I sketched, while listened. It is sketched over a few street sketches. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=XxmJdg4evBY#!
Dress. Brooklyn, Sheepshead bay. It was striking and unexpected to see that vulnerable feminine dress on the winter street. I used ink and few Kuretake brush pens. Scanner didn’t pick up variety of blue.
Another sketch from my Caribbean trip, this time showing fishing (?) boats near the harbor at Soufriere in St. Lucia. I love the bright colors that seem to be everywhere in the Caribbean. This was done with ink and watercolor pencils.
