First Red Leaves of Fall
(and leaf impressions on the facing page)
What Music Looks Like
Based on the cover of the last CD I bought, Amanda Palmer’s “Theatre Is Evil.”
Wine Glass With Shadows
The left over bits from a different college worked really well by themselves.
A butterfly impression in black ink, inspired a bit by the Lorenz attractor butterfly on a previous page.
Whispers of the North Wind
A page in blue and turquoise acrylic paint, experimenting with mixing colors and thinning them with water for more depth.
Midnight (In Blue Acrylic)
A page in micron ink and blue acrylic paint in my sketchbook for this month’s Theme Challenge. I like the feeling of the quick sketch I did and decided to revisit it (and take the opportunity to play around with some acrylic paint, which I haven’t done in years).
Impressions of the Night
I started experimenting with cyanotype photo paper. The first attempt didn’t develop at all, but it gave me a chance to sketch a celestial impression around the random constellation of color.
