He’s back – Inktense and Graphite sticks

Sitting in the garden listening to the deafening noise this wee devil makes. Its that time of year. Far from being a nice, wee, sweet creatures, the local robins are quite aggressive things. They are fearless and will feed from your hand, especially in the winter months when competition for food lessens any inhibitions. In fact one was feeding thus, recently and another crashed into him, like a guided missile to dislodge him from my hand. There are at least 4 resident robins in our garden and they all seem to fight each other – or chase Magnus our cat.

Another attempt to explore the use of different types of pencils. The Inktense was to highlight the robin while the heavy graphite was intended to show the form of the different branches.
