2012Jul 8tags: 86 Noodles | brooklyn | drawing | ink | lamyPretty famous place for best Chinese and bit of Thai food in Brooklyn, on 86 street, Bay Ridge, loved by young people. Even if we have to drive for pick up (they don’t deliver so far), it is still worth it. Unless I get creative and compose some special meal, lets say mixing Thai recipe with Armenian.
I used J.Herbin ink and Kuretake pens on Fluid pad. Touched with Lamy Safari pen, I forgot how rich and thick this pen’s lines. -

2012May 6tags: Bob | drawing | ink | Inktense | Ira | potato skinsPotato skins. As much as I was able to finish this drawing, because potato was eaten and a few given to a friend, and many things happened, pretty heart breaking, but life is going on. The recipe was very interesting, from Google somewhere and it was a pleasure assisting my daughter to make it, it calls “Soft Potato Skins”, with fake bacon (my daughter doesn’t eat meat) and sour cream.
I used ink and Inktense blocks, it was a present from Bob, from Scotland, really interesting technique. THANK YOU, BOB! -
2012Apr 22tags: brooklyn | drawing | ink | Ira | sepiaAve C in Brooklyn. Ink in Stillman&Birn Alpha series sketchbook. I played with the texture a little bit, but tried to keep it simple, almost a silhouette. It is like looking through the eyelashes on the street, loosing sense of color, seeing little dots of distortion, deep in your thoughts, sinking in hidden emotions.
