It’s a pop-up card I made for my mother’s birthday.
latest updates: doodle
One of many doodles in the current sketchbook, pretty standard black pens of varying thickness. Of what it is I’m not sure, the nature of how I work very much random and see how it turns out. I’ll you decide.
Hello. This is my first contribution on a notebook given to me by my brother Bojan. My name is Dzana and I am the daughter of Ziza who is skine-artist for nearly a year. Perhaps you saw me in some of his sketches.
This is just a pencil doodle I did to see how it goes. I’m very busy at school so you won’t see many of my contributions but I’d try to do as many as I can.
I heard about this doodling technique called ‘zentangles’ the other day from Bob (it seems like what I’ve been doing in the margins of notebooks for years now rather than a ‘new art from’ as the official website claims, but I have to give them credit for coining a cool-sounding name) and decided to try it out on the first page of my new moleskine sketch book. Several more are on the way, too; I find it a wonderful way to lose myself in art some evenings.
You know the address books that come as a part of the Moleskine diaries? Well, this is what I’ve drawn on (doodled on) here. I was working ink through a couple of my fountain pens, and this is what came out of my subconcsious. Worrying, isn’t it?

January doodle. I carry my Moleskine everywhere, and whenever I have a minute to myself, I take it out and scribble, even wipe my brush at lunch, even add a memo to myself. So this sketch went through Subway trip, Luster stone sponge, evening tea with my favorite french blue mints, stare at my military phone and to do list.
