Deserted – watercolour
latest updates: desert
This is another painting from when I was in Tucson in April. Things were beginning to bloom in the desert and I was amazed at the colors! I wish I had more time there.
I was at a local park yesterday and saw these two Canadian Geese.. I thought to myself what are they doing here in desert..? It is pretty unusual to see them here in a hot climate.. This is what I came up to be pretty funny… Two geese are lost and trying to figure out their way back up to the Great White North.. As you can see there is a comedy reference from an old Canadian movie called “Strange Brew.” Also “Loonie” equal to a Common Loon (it is another Canadian waterfowl), I’m sure these geese doesn’t want to be in the same category as a Loon…
this is the oposite of the previous post, and this is nearly what it feels here now…
I couldn’t think of ideas, so I decided to try the monthly challenge: desserts. The first time I read the challenge, I though it said deserts, so I ended up drawing ice cream in the desert. It seemed only fair.
I sketched this out with a 3H pencil and then with a 01 pt Prismacolor fineline pen. After erasing the pencil altogether, I filled with prismacolor premier pencils.
