  Another page that combines doodling from a notepad with the pages of my molie. My initials, a few random lines and shapes, all nestled in another splash of color in my pages. The doodles are in papermate mechanical pencil and the colors are all crayola colored pencils.

  Sunfish

  I was feeling tired of black and white this evening, so I started with a green circle and watched what happened. Pretty soon a very colorful fish was looking back at me, brightening up the artsy pages of my molie. I pleased with the result, actually.

  Versailles Building, New Orleans.
  My first post on here, and also the first page of my themed watercolor Moleskine, Exile: New Atlantis. This work will focus on the concept of exile from a personal, metaphorical, and narrative perspective. It will also draw from my experience as a New Orleanian in exile, post-hurricane Katrina, and the broader experience of being an outsider. This image-00 Rapidograph, Dr. Ph. Martin’s Bombay India Ink. The man in the rearview mirror is the face of an Art S. Buck anatomical model. The rest of the image is from my own photo reference.
