I was inspired by the colors in the Sunday comics, so decided to hack them up for this collage page. Faber-Castell Pitt pens were used for the lines.
latest updates: collage
Yellow String and Hydrangea Blossoms
(What’s In Your Pocket)
A collage of things from my pocket for the September 2012 Theme Challenge.
Saying Goodbye to Boo
A collage page in my ‘Chronicle’ sketchbook in memory of Boo, who died in her sleep at 16. She was a wonderful, wonderful cat and I will sincerely miss her and her gentle snuggles.
The Contents of a Trash Can (Same motif in different technique)
Another exploration of the August 2012 theme challenge, this time revisiting the November 2011 theme challenge. There’s a Scottish heather ale that I am very fond of that features interesting labels that have a tendency to flake off in large and small chunk when they get wet (which is easy to happen on some of the very humid summer nights here). I find the resulting bits of pattern and metallic layers interesting and decided to put them together on a randomly-assembled page.
The BUMP in the Night
(Things That Go Bump in the Night)
Another submission for the July 2012 Theme Challenge. I suppose it satisfies the August Theme Challenge, too, but I didn’t know that would be the challenge at the time I did this.
My mom wrote me a note mentioning she missed seeing my art; so I made a note card to send back just for her. (I hope she likes it.)
And here is the full/final stage of the ‘Windows’ collage. I hope it was worth seeing the first two stages.
This is the second stage of the interactive page ‘Windows’ in my ‘Chronicle’ sketchbook.
Another interactive page, also from 13 June. This one if three stages (so the full fold-out should post the day after tomorrow, if all goes well), but I like all three of them, so I am shamelessly sharing them.
