latest updates: collage
Sometimes I doodle things in places other than my moleskine (in the margins of notebooks, along the sides and bottom of meeting notes, on scratch paper, etc.) and then forget about them for a while. In this case, I came across these stray pieces and decided to combine them in a collage in my molie.
One page down…
all the rest to go. My sketchbook arrived for the Sketchbook project (http://arthousecoop.com/projects/sketchbookproject) the Kuroba posted about a few weeks ago. I am excited (and a little nervous) to be taking part in it and started working on the inside cover. The theme of the book is ‘Sleepless’ and I’m planning on exploring all sorts of ideas related to sleep, dreams, sleeping, etc. (it also seemed appropriate since a good deal of sketches get done in hours of insomnia when I just can’t sleep).
Collage in the moleskine with some tags from one of my favorite teas to sip in the evening, cut and colored paper and an underlying pattern drawn on the page.

Mint Medley 2
The collage from a few days ago felt incomplete, so I added a few more leaves to the explosion.
My new favorite tea led to this collage with leaves cut from the tags and bursting (with flavor) out of one of the pouches.
I got bored in art class, and did this…i kind of like how it turned out..pastels, sharpie, grid paper, tracing paper, magazine, tape, ribbon, and postits.
