November Theme Challenge! The contents of a trashcan
My first page that I’ve altered. This one reads: “The Stomach Attempted to Reach the Brain.” The background is watercolor with some shaved chalk thrown in as the watercolor was dry to give it a kind of sandpaper look. the bird is just straight ink drawing colored in with some markers.

Crazy dream bird — third in a series of quick sketches of kooky animal dreams I had a while ago. Is it a turkey? A vulture? A turkulture? A vurkey? I don’t know, but it was weird.

Kooky bird creature from a dream. Drawn with micron pens, then scanned and digitally colored.
The House Sparrow. The right page was drawn from a study skin. The left page was drawn from observation (the one where he is sitting of course) and from photograph (the one where he is flying). The left page is obviously pen, the right is older and is in pencil. Also, my handwriting is atrocious, so sorry about that.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! I have a few more of these skin studies I might post later.
