It’s Broken
Whenever I’m hanging out with friends and we’re having a few beers, I joke about my glass being ‘broken’ when it’s empty (with the implication that it needs to be fixed with the addition of more beer).

A Night’s Drinking With Friends
There is a neat little bar in Morgantown called Jay’s Getaway that specializes in imported and limited run beers (as well as plenty of offerings from smaller breweries around the states). By the end of our time there, we end up with ltos of interesting bottles and glasses on the table. This quick sketch was my attempt at capturing some of that variation in bottle and glass shapes and sizes.
Newcastle Impression
The bar was out of Guinness (at 5:30 on a Friday…they need to have a talk with whoever does their ordering!), so my plan to sketch a Guinness out on the deck while I waited for friends to join me got revised to sketching a Newcastle instead.
Mountain State Brewing Company
Inspired by the logo of a local pub, I built a page around it (brewing company logo by Sean Conroy).

My flight ticket glued to the airplane sketching spread. Drank my first international beer (doesn’t exist in the States, and not really recommended while you are 4000 feet above ground)… It was pretty good.
My son came to visit me and took some beautiful photos (you could see 2 of them a couple of days ago). I tried to sketch him in that brewery pub, but the beer blured my sight so it wasn’t very successful – even though he is recognizable…
Another one by my son whose portrait can be seen on the opened page. It was taken in beer brewery and you can see bubbles coming out of the book!
Cofee and Beer with my in-laws
ballpen (black and blue) on a small NB. This one was inspired by another fellow who posted coloured pencilwork of a beear in the centre (of Malmo) – So I did it in the centre…
Please note thet the drawing (again) i highly technical, so if anyone needs additional explanations please don’t hesitate…
