Autumn Sunshine – Watercolour and Ink in a Watercolour Moleskine
I walk this way almost daily observing the changes as winter approaches. Today (Sunday) was a beautiful day but the sun is already very low causing long shadows. This was around 1.00pm and it will be dark by 4.30 pm. Perhaps, in few weeks, this will be blanketed in snow.
Time to put the Garden Furniture away – Acrylic and Pitt Markers in a Watercolour Moleskine
Just playing about with some old markers I found during a tidying up session. Trying to capture some of the Autumn colours in my back garden.
Autumn in Brooklyn. Ink. On the top is my list, I didn’t plan to use the whole spread, but brunches looked so interesting, so I let it be.
Autumn Leaves – Watercolour and Acrylic in an A3 Watercolour Moleskine
I thought I had discovered the perfect way to play the 9th Hole at Silverknowes Golf Course, here in Edinburgh. All summer I have driving into or beyond these trees which shortens the hole quite a bit. Last week, however, the leaves started to fall and its impossible to find the ball. Ah well! Pretty to look at but expensive on balls – back to the drawing board.
Autumn is here – Watercolour in an A3 Watercolour Moleskine
A large “canvas” so this has to be a photograph. Just trying to capture some of the colour starting to appear in our local woods.
Go, sit upon the lofty hill
And turn your eyes around,
Where waving woods and waters wild
Do hymn an autumn sound.
The summer sun is faint on them
The summer flowers depart
Sit still as all transformed to stone
Except your musing heart

Dreams of Halloween
A page combining my love of the season with the sleepless theme. The main composition is from a vintage Halloween postcard (another one of my favorite things) by Ellen Clapsaddle.
