Autumn Sunlight
Fall is my favorite season; the sun, the crisp, falling leaves, the frequent mist and rain, the cold night and chill mornings; and often inspires many pages of sketches and doodles.

A change of seasons – Watercolour
Is it that time again? A walk, in the local woods, earlier this morning offered me lots of views of the colour, in the trees, beginning to change. I rushed home and this is the result of an hour’s quick painting – before the memory fails. Its only September yet there is definitely a change under way. Experts say its because of the very dry spell in April yet, in these parts, its been one of the wettest summers for years. I’m beginning to think there may be something to climate change after all. We have had reports that snow is forecast in October. Well! Well!
September Sunset
A page inspired by watching the shadows of the trees outside the window grow long, stretching into evening here in West Virginia; done in micron ink in my Uncharted Waters sketchbook.
Autumn falls in autumn like a leaf. Raine drops in spring like rain. Fall girl. Fall boy. Fall together.
Autumn Sunshine – Watercolour and Ink in a Watercolour Moleskine
I walk this way almost daily observing the changes as winter approaches. Today (Sunday) was a beautiful day but the sun is already very low causing long shadows. This was around 1.00pm and it will be dark by 4.30 pm. Perhaps, in few weeks, this will be blanketed in snow.
Time to put the Garden Furniture away – Acrylic and Pitt Markers in a Watercolour Moleskine
Just playing about with some old markers I found during a tidying up session. Trying to capture some of the Autumn colours in my back garden.
Autumn in Brooklyn. Ink. On the top is my list, I didn’t plan to use the whole spread, but brunches looked so interesting, so I let it be.
Autumn Leaves – Watercolour and Acrylic in an A3 Watercolour Moleskine
I thought I had discovered the perfect way to play the 9th Hole at Silverknowes Golf Course, here in Edinburgh. All summer I have driving into or beyond these trees which shortens the hole quite a bit. Last week, however, the leaves started to fall and its impossible to find the ball. Ah well! Pretty to look at but expensive on balls – back to the drawing board.
