Airport Chair
I had a long length of time in the Pittsburgh airport recently, waiting for a flight, so I took the opportunity to sketch one of the empty chairs nearby.
Waiting at the airport there are lots of people sitting still for long periods of time. this was done in a watercolor moleskine with a technical pen.
I just got back from my amazing trip from Canada! I had a fantastic time over there and feeling the withdrawal big time! Why does Vegas have to be sooo dull?! Gah…
Here is a spread of the Gate B8-B15 bay of the McCarran International Airport (aka LAS), just before departing to Victoria, BC. Yes, they even have casinos in the middle of the circular chamber surrounding by seats and Gates.
Waiting for another plane in Melbourne. People just waiting, bored, yet with a self-important “in-transit” attitude.

Thirsty plane.
Drawing made on the Philadelphia airport. The pilots alread had taken their seats.
The technique again is ballpoint pencil and the only reason I keep using it is the challenge that comes along – I can not correct major flaws – so there is something good to learn for me. The little hole on the left page is caused by intense rubbing !
