I try to draw landscapes (ONLY) with watercolor. I would like to give the real atmosphere while drawing the less real details as possible. I work to do it with less and less strokes.

I really like this! What catches my eye right away is your little hanko and writing along the left of it. Is this really Japanese, or just a decoration? This is an unusual composition and the colors look like traditional Japanese colors.

It’s just normal watercolor. I use the japanese style to sign my drawings and to leave a caption about the landscape. I’m really found of japanese paintings, but I really need the watercolor range, and as well I try to get less and less reality in my drawings, I would like to do abstracted drawings with the real atmosphere of the landscape. But I still have lot of work to do before getting it…

For example, my master (in mind) about painting is mister Zao Wou-ki, I would be able to do my watercolor paintings like Zao, but with my own style. Look as well to Bernhard Vogel watercolors, this guy is awsome. Cheers, and thanks for your messages.

Oh, sorry, Mugitea, it isn’t japanese, it is french letters, it is the caption about the painting, written in french.

Interesting technique. The background reminds me of a Cezanne.
