Sunrise on a stormy day – Ink in a Watercolour Moleskine
I cannot do justice to the view, this morning, from my studio window. We often get vivid red tones mixed up with dark clouds as the rising sun sweeps over Edinburgh. This is my humble effort trying to show this. The great English painter, John Constable wrote, in 1821, “Skies must and always with me make an effectual part of the composition”. The sky IS the composition in this effort with the buildings, hills and foreground merely hinted at. Hope this works.
