This is some recent preliminary design work done with fine liner pen.

I am in the midst of storyboarding my latest animated short film. I am on my third watercolour moleskine book and only half way through the script. The finished product will all be doen in detailed black and white pencil.

Did this one a few years back sitting by the post office in Bourke St Mall in Melbourne. It was a quick pen sketch followed by some water colour from my Windsor & Newton, Cotman field box water colour set

On a recent trip to Paris I went down to the Catacombs, a place I always wanted to visit. It was too dark and awkward to do any decent sketching down there so I took some handy snaps on my digital camera and did a quick watercolour at a cafe when I got back above ground.

On a recent trip to the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival I took some time out to do some sketching, when I was not catching all the short films. This is a watercolour I did from a cafe. I had a smallish brush so it was tough to get a nice was for the sky.

In the aftermath of the Thierry Henry hand ball fiasco there was an interesting list printed in the newspaper regarding famous cheats of history – I decided to cut it up with a couple of the accompanying photos and paste it into my Moleskin. I added a quick pen drawing of Henry and some French shading in coloured pencil with appropriate title.

This is a pencil drawing of my new dog Clancy. I put a dash of Gouche to highlight his eye and a bit of purple in the ackgroudn for effect.
