This is the last page of my current moleskine book. One of our dogs recently passed away and I decided to do a commeorative page for him. He was the subject of much art and photography over the years for my brothers and I and as one of the family, he will be sorely missed.

2010Apr 7tags: Damien Slevin | Paris sketches | SlevinartsOn a recent trip to Paris I went down to the Catacombs, a place I always wanted to visit. It was too dark and awkward to do any decent sketching down there so I took some handy snaps on my digital camera and did a quick watercolour at a cafe when I got back above ground.

2010Mar 30tags: Slevinarts - moleskine-journalOn a recent trip to the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival I took some time out to do some sketching, when I was not catching all the short films. This is a watercolour I did from a cafe. I had a smallish brush so it was tough to get a nice was for the sky.
