a drink my friend recently introduced me to, with a very interesting name. it looked much better than it tasted though, so i gave up trying to drink it and started drawing it instead

A friend was trying to teach me the basics of human anatomy and muscle structure. It was quite interesting and afterwards I did some practices of the things he taught me. I’m grateful to have people around like that.

I found an old bus ticket lying around for April 1st and decided to use that as a starting point for a collage of things i remember from the month of April 2010. Some unexpected things entered along the way

I wanted to do some studies of how sunlight illuminates the face from different angles. I decided to use these two guys, who are the two main characters from a favourite anime series of mine, which got turned into the live action movie.

I was trying to draw each of the chess pieces as a person, along with an animal which I think fits them. This is the king – very dangerous, but doesn’t do much. Done with black ball point ink, watercolour pencils and white gel pen.
