Another Mushroom
I couldn’t sleep a few weeks ago and ended up just doodling, random shapes and lines turned into a mushroom and other fungi. Crayola colored pencils finished the picture.

The Elder Gods Love You…Humans Are Delicious
I’m an avid H.P. Lovecraft fan and this came as a bit of a silly response to graffiti carved in the desk I was sitting at during today’s safety seminar.
Shoes and a Cookie
During a seminar I started sketching my shoes; big, heavy Doctor Martens steel-toed work boots. They’re just about my favorite pair of shoes and have plenty of traction for the icy sidewalks between home and work. When I was done with the shoes and the jeans on top of them, I still had plenty of time, so I added an observation of my half-eaten chocolate chip cookie (the cookies and tea are one of the redeeming points of the seminars).
Graffiti
Another page that combines doodling from a notepad with the pages of my molie. My initials, a few random lines and shapes, all nestled in another splash of color in my pages. The doodles are in papermate mechanical pencil and the colors are all crayola colored pencils.
Sunfish
I was feeling tired of black and white this evening, so I started with a green circle and watched what happened. Pretty soon a very colorful fish was looking back at me, brightening up the artsy pages of my molie. I pleased with the result, actually.
The Letter M
Sometimes and idea starts in my molie, gets carried on somewhere else, and then makes its way back into the pages completed. I was hanging out with some friends and this just grew across a notepad that was laying on the table, now it’s part of my molie.
My Greatest (Physical) Triumph
This is a rough idea of what I hope to complete for the December theme challenge. On Thanksgiving morning I completed the first foot race of my life in Detroit, called the 27th annual Turkey Trot (over 14,000 people showed up to run through the streets of the city before the parade). I interpreted it in a silly way as a turkey running across a finish line. If anyone had told me six months ago I would actually be running regularly and enjoying it, I would have told them they were crazy. I’m a little proud of myself for sticking with it and making a small step to be a little more active and healthy in my life.
Large Mushroom, Small Leaves
I was jonesing to draw something the other night, decided I was tired of drawing skulls, so I drew a little toadstool instead. It looked lonely, so I gave it some leaves to keep it company.
Wicker Man
I drew this a long while ago; it was actually the very first sketch in the new molie. I was watching the movie (the original version), which is one of my favorites and decided to try drawing the title character.
